LAKELANDS OLIVES RECENT TRIO OF INTERNATIONAL
AWARDS
Lakelands
Olives is proud to announce a trio of
international awards in recognition of our
ongoing commitment to quality, diversity
and sustainable practises.
Both the single varietal Lakelands Olives
Frantoio and Special Reserve blend
were recently (June 2007) selected among the
world’s top olive oils by the German gourmet
magazine Der Feinschmecker. They competed
against over 750 oils from every continent and
were commended particularly for flavour, aroma,
intensity and balance.
Lakelands Olives Special Reserve also won
1st Prize in the Australian section
of the international Biol Prize(June 2007), one
of the world’s leading organic olive oil
competitions held in Puglia, Italy and judged by
an international jury.
In the recent
Los Angeles International Olive Oil Competition
(May 2007), Lakelands Olives ever popular
"Crush" Olive Oils, a fresh new take on the
traditional Italian agrumato style oils, were
highly commended. Both the Lakelands Olives
Basil Crush and Mandarin Crush
received Silver Medals whilst Lakelands Olives
Special Reserve received a Bronze Medal.
This swag of
