LAKELANDS OLIVES AT 2006 SYDNEY WRITERS' FESTIVALHome

Visitors to the Sydney Writers’ Festival were not offered readings from ‘A Tuscan Year’ but instead had a chance to taste one of Australia’s leading biodynamic organic extra virgin olive oils – produced by Lakelands Olives in Rylstone near Mudgee, New South Wales.

The Festival is delighted to welcome Lakelands Olives – a new SWF supporter this year. The Lakelands Olives biodynamic organic certified grove is planted predominantly to Tuscan origin varieties that thrive on the cool, high, western slopes of the Great Dividing Range. Meticulous horticulture, hand harvesting and state-of-the-art cold decanter pressing ensures the crafting of exceptional quality trophy-winning Extra Virgin Olive Oils.

Lakelands Olives hosted a FREE Olive Oil Tasting during the Festival at Pier 4 / 5 Hickson Road, Walsh Bay from 11.30am – 2.30pm on Saturday 27 May with several blends and the new biodynamic 'Basil Crush' olive oil pressed from selected estate grown fresh basil and olives on offer.

Check the Sydney Writers' Festival website for more information about next year's events and program. Lakelands Olives plan to continue their support of this worthy event.
