Recent Event
Friday
3rd & Saturday 4th February 2006 Recently, Lakelands Olives participated in the NSW Inland Food & Wine Festival held at the Museum of Contemporary Art at The Rocks in Sydney. The event was a spectacular two day focus on food and wine from the inland areas of NSW including Mudgee, Bathurst, Orange, Young and Cowra. Lakelands Olives took the opportunity to talk to people about their approach regarding sustainable olive growing and quality processing of Extra Virgin olive oils. Lakelands Olives are biodynamic organic certified and produce only the highest grade of olive oil, Extra Virgin. The full range of Lakelands Olives Extra Virgin olive oils was on display and available for tasting and purchase during the festival. Kate Honeysett, Lakelands Olives EVOO Ambassador, was on hand sharing tips and ideas on how to enjoy Extra Virgin olive oil in fresh and delicious recipes. There were plenty of tasty treats to go around. And the hit of the festival? Lakelands Olives newly released 2005 Harvest Basil Crush, an innovative take on flavoured olive oils. Unlike typical flavoured olive oils that are infused with herbs or citrus base oils, Lakelands Olives Basil Crush is a made by crushing fresh estate grown olives with fresh estate grown basil leaves from Lakelands Olives own biodynamic herb garden. This allows for a completely unique and fresh olive-basil flavour that is divine when married with vine-ripened tomatoes or on a simple bruschetta. Lakelands Olives Extra Virgin olive oils are available from a range of Retail Outlets or please contact us directly. |
